To my knowledge, both coins have the same mintage: 1500.
The 97 is the first out of two, its Traditional Culture interest and its artistic
work/quality can be confirmed!  The 98 (series II) is ranked ★★★ in the Huang Ruiyong
list and the 97 has none, and it is accurate! At the time of buying, some years ago, the 98 piece
was very difficult to find.. My question is why such difference ?
It has been always an "enigme" to me. Any rational explanation or just your free thought?
Disclosure: Own the 97 piece.
