"And on March 19, London dealer Giuseppe Eskenzai scooped up a 1,000-year-old Chinese bowl for the tidy sum of $2.22 million. The 5” round bowl was most recently purchased at a garage sale for just $3, and had been valued at $200,000-$300,000 by seller Sotheby’s auction house in New York before it went up for sale. "

Good we got that cleared up.  Worldwide demand for Chinese artifacts is growing.  As I posted earlier, even in my rural area the locals value their Chinese items as gold, they also know the US dollar will buy less and the Yuan will buy more.  The coins shops in Portland, OR/Vancouver, WA have many new collectors of Chinese coins and the demand for them was very high last year.   The adoring public or herd is now on board.   CCF forum members/readers are ahead of the market.   The demand for Chinese will grow.  Grab the rarities while you can.........

Panda sorry for going off topic! But that was lol response!

"good now that we have that cleared up" LOL

You do not have to tell me bud on Chinese antiques.

I am so mad at myself for saying no to some jade perfume bottles at a show this year.

I can't believe this but I might have to go garaging for the good stuff.

Either or I wish us all the best this summer!

I am learning about MCC, Chinese paper notes and antiques.  Lots to learn and lots of fakes.  You passed on jade perfume bottles?  Some of those are expensive.  We all make errors, so live and learn.  The problem now is the public gets the picture, we have alot more competition.   As we all know, one unique rare Chinese antique item could bring mega bucks.  If I could be fortunate to find/buy a rare expensive Chinese item, then I would sell it and buy a boat load of MCC........one can only hope.....     :)
