And your buy price for the 2003 1/2 oz? Is your price the same for OMP, 68, and 69, or will your prices vary?

$1650 for the 2003 1/2 oz. Same price for the OMP or MS69 because they will all go to the complete sets. Thanks~

I wonder how many MS69s are being cracked out of the slabs to satisfy the demand for these complete sets, which I gather don't include the NGC/PCGS slabs in their presentation.  Could these activities have a significant impact on the NGC population numbers?  In other words, it may lead to there being significantly fewer MS69s available than is suggested by the population data.

For instance, there are currently about 100 NGC MS69 2003 G1/2.  If just 10 of those 69s end up getting cracked out to make these sets, then that eliminates 10% of the available MS69 population.  Will the ongoing completion of these sets thereby increase the scarcity and value of the remaining MS69?

Very few MS69 slabs are being cracked out except in cases where a certain coin is in very short supply, say 1995 1/4 or 2002 1/10.  What typically happens is a dealer will try to exchange their MS69 slab coin for a 67-68 quality coin and request a trade up fee.  This turns out to be win-win for the dealer and collector doing the trade, since the trade up fee or spread is at an all time low right now for most coins (not true for 1982 1oz, 1983 1oz, ..).

What is the real impact of all this is, fewer coins are being graded, especially the hot coins.  I have sent in only a fraction of my 2002, 2004, 2006 1/10 for grading despite acquiring many of these coins in the last two months, because I can sell them as is for MS69 price as omp or even raw, so the NGC pops of these coins will be lower than they would have otherwise have been. So, YES in a sense the future pop of MS69 will be lower not because the coins are being cracked out but because fewer coins will be submitted.

Another good trick for US ebay accounts is, whenever an item sells for best offer, ebay simply crosses out the original asking price but doesn't disclose the agreed transaction price.  To view that price simply copy the item number, go to www.ebay.com.au (Australia ebay site) and search for that item number and it will display the actual price the item sold for in US dollars and Aussie dollars.

Arif

Did ebay Australia also change their policy, now?  I tried this trick this morning and it doesn't seem to work?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/190835857125?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com.au%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_from%3DR40%26_nkw%3D190835857125%26_rdc%3D1

Perhaps I am doing something wrong?  Try item number 190835857125

Yes, I tried it on Ebay Australia, it has stopped showing the realized prices. I think thwere are other ways of knowing it, I just don't have the answer.

Try ebay.ca

Hmm...that didn't work for me either, even though I logged out of US ebay, before trying it.  Maybe ebay is still recognizing my IP address from being logged into US ebay this morning.  I'll have to try again from a different location later.

Please try to change the .com to .it in your browser. Italy works fine even though I am not an Italian. You can see ALL best offer prices when the item is no longer available.

i.e. http://offer.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidsLogin&_trksid=p2047675.l2564&rt=nc&item=190835857125
just change the item number :thumbup1:

Simpler way:

1. http://search.ebay.it/190835857125
2. http://search.ebay.com.my/190835857125
3. http://search.ebay.com.sg/190835857125
4. http://search.ebay.ph/190835857125

It will take much longer time before ebay synchronize the update to these smaller sites.
