SELLING: 2002 1/10 Gold Panda NGC MS70
« on: February 27, 2013, 10:33:02 PM »
I am selling a very rare 2002 1/10 (50Y) Gold Panda graded NGC MS70.

Price $4000 OBO.  Free shipping US or Internationally.

With current pricing of raw and MS68 2002 1/10th this should be a fair price for an MS70.

Please send me a personal message if interested  or if you would like to make an offer and we can discuss payment options.  I apologize for the mistake in the original price.

I bet this one sells not so quickly.

I realize this is a lofty asking price.  However for a 70 collector or registry collector it may not be so crazy.  With raw and MS68 coins fetching $2200-$2300 it would take a rather large sum of money to submit enough coins to have a real chance of getting a 70.  As the price of a raw coin increases higher and higher, I also believe the number of 70's decreases.  I guess you could say the price and odds of a 70 are inversely related if you will.  Anyone can put together a raw or even MS69 1/10 set from 2000-2013.  Try putting together a 70 set.

Obviously this isn't the coin to place into a raw set.  However, I appreciate the vote of confidence.  I love when people do that to peoples buy / sell threads.  :001_tt2:

I am not a collector of 1/10 gold pandas but seeing a raw Omp go for $2200 it seems to me that your 70 is priced a little low.

I agree, Obsidian.   If people are willing to pay $2200+ for an ungraded coin, which to me is an "anything goes" scenario (in the same way that if you were starving to death and someone wanted $100 for a can of beans, you'd eagerly pay $100 for a can of beans because you have to have it and the money is meaningless relative to the desire for the beans so "anything goes").   And if that's how the game is being played, and "anything goes", you might as well play it yourself.  $4000 for an MS70 2002 1/10??   Sure, why not!   And when that sells, the next person with an MS70 should ask $4500.   As sure as there are people who will pay $5000 for a grilled cheese sandwich with a toast pattern that looks like Jesus Christ, there are people who will pay anything to have an MS70 2002 1/10.   It may not happen today or tomorrow, and it may not happen here on this forum, but I wouldn't bet my money against it happening sometime soon.
