MCC are China's heritage and national pride.    Why can't the Chinese government take steps to stop the billions of fakes coming out of China?    Does the Chinese government make a income from fakes?    China, wake up and take action against these scum bags that fake your precious coins/medals and national pride.    Ebay loves their income/money so that stupidity is expected.    China must step up to the plate and enforce laws against counterfeit.    We of the collecting community will support China IF they take the steps necessary..........Legal fakes makes China look stupid and corrupt.   Lets stop it NOW and return integrity to the China government.    I/we will help but time is running out.........

Now that i think about it, the West is sending rare dates/varieties/sets/ etc to China.    China is sending fakes to the West.   Pretty good strategy.........

This is just a single listing in the sea of fakes on eBay that are convincing enough to be sold to unsuspecting secondary buyers.  A single listing that has generated 1123 sales so far, and counting.

cnbead

A dubious milestone.  Now they've sold more than 1500 pieces of this single crap listing.

I bought one for $2.84 (free shipping + 5%off) because:
1. They'll probably lose money with free shipping for $2.84,
2. They'll get a negative feedback,
3.  I get to photograph, weight, check its specific gravity and publish the results.

3 shots against a fake seller for $2.84, worth it!

Hmmm, actually I can make noise to eBay and get refund and do all these for free, so it is Priceless, Ha!

SANDAC, did you receive yours yet?  If so, what did eBay say when you spoke to them about the results of your "research" purchase.

The seller shipped out the item next day and provided a tracking number.  I have not receive it yet.  The estimated date of delivery is Dec 29, but I expect to receive it much sooner.  I'll provide detailed photo, weight, and specific gravity measurements as soon as I've received it.

Actually, this seller (cnbead) has two listings for 2013 sliver panda under the different titles. (381425630543 and 311473635872).

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-gold-silver-panda-chinese-china-coin-auspicious-matters-1-oz-/381425630543?hash=item58cebd3d4f:g:vZEAAOSw0HVWD0ww (1517 sold)

cnbead received first negative feedback for fake 2013 silver panda.

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=cnbead&iid=381425630543&de=off&items=25&which=negative&interval=365&_trkparms=negative_365

I also purchased 2013 and 2015 fake silver pandas from “popogogo12345” about the same time SANDAC bought his 2015 fake from “cnbead”. Both coins are in transit. However, eBay had removed 2013 listing one week after my purchasing. Therefore, there is no way to leave negative feedback for this item. The shipping time is 36 days, and eBay will not allow me to leave feedback until the arrival of the coin or 36 days from the purchasing date, whichever is first. I have never heard the name of the shipping company provided by the seller. The seller popogogo12345 has negative feedback more than 1,000 during last 12 months and eBay did not do anything to stop it. No negative feedback received by this seller for this fake coin yet. The first fake 2015 silver panda sold by this seller was Oct. 4th, 45 days ago.

IMO, cnbead and popogogo12345 are the same person. Both registered at eBay at the same day (2/23/2010) and from the same city (Shenzhen, China) and have the same pictures to sell the same items.

Received the fake 2013 panda this morning.  It took 28 days.  The attached are the package received and the coin inside in OMP.  I'll take the coin out of the OMP and take more detailed photos as I go.

The coin weights 1.03oz which is quite close to the actual weight.  The capsule looks different.  It does not have the three-point holddown molded inside the capsule.  However, I don't have an OMP 2013 silver panda for comparison.

The obverse and reverse of fake 2013 panda without the capsule. The fur pattern of the obverse is obviously different than the genuine 2013 silver panda.

Oh wait, that's not right.  The silver panda should weight 1 troy ounce, which is 1.1 ounce.  I weighted a silver eagle (also a troy ounce or 31.103g) on my scale and it shows 31.12g, then I weighted the fake panda and got 29.23g.  So it is 6% underweight.

Do you have any url leading to an item he is selling or Ebay item#? Usually best to immortalize the info on the forum by attaching a screen shot. So even if Ebay deletes or moves the page we will have a photo of the page here. Thanks for information and best wishes. Keep on hunting!  N40
