Seller in Japan offered this panda for sale.

Grade in NGC was deleted ... so is it fake or what?
no better pictures though

a "DELETED" grade is definitely bad news.

Even with the poor picture I can still see the bamboo is too close to the rim, a signature of fake as pointed out in Pandacollector.com.

Fake!

It is fake coin in a fake NGC holder. The fake coin has an incorrect temple design.

Both 1989 NY Expo are fakes and the NGC slabs are designated as "DELETED".  The seller appears to sell mostly US silvers and just start to get into Chinese gold coins.  I sent him a message describing the fake.  This will be a bad experience for him.  Thank you for alerting CCF members.

The seller responded quickly and ended both 1989 NY Expo listings.

Hope not off topic but I received a silver coin today. In the area where the silver is flaking. Underneath exposes a brownish rust colour. I seem to recall watching a Maple being cut and revealing this brownish colour in the past? Gut tells me this is certain fake, however any experienced members advice on the rust colour flaking appreciated. (Item overweight and sorry pic is not HD but sure idea gets through)
Regards,
Ad
