Welcome!  Chinquapin is a place in Yosemite. Any connection?

Best wishes,

The use of the word Chinquapin to me is the tiny soft hulled nut grown on bushes in the Southeast. They look like mini-chestnuts. It is very hard to find chinquapins these days.  It is probably an American Indian word.

Thanks. That's interesting. I wonder if the Yosemite name refers to a plant, also.

Best wishes,

Hi Chinquapin54,

Nice to meet you. Did you still have the 1979 children silver coin? I want to buy it from you. Feel free to send me a email jiw86@pitt.edu

Thanks
