Today they are isolated.  As more inspection is being done on bullion, the more fakes and tungsten filled bullion will be found.  In the past it was assumed that all bullion was real so why inspect?  Not the case today.  Fakes are in every market that has value.  Fake bullion will be common like fake rare coins  .........
