Great job in finding that information. Making the CCT number upper case seems to have fixed it. I don't know why yet, though, so I'm still investigating so I can fix the underlying bug that caused that. Something minor like that should not make the page unviewable.

I still need to add a range feature, so you don't have to enter in hundreds of certification numbers if they're all sequential. It should make it easier to do searches for research purposes too. Oh, I just realized something - the way the search shows differences from what you enter in, you can search a large lot of coins to see if there are any 70's :) I'll set that up now.

Hmm, I did it again, but I don't know how.
I entered a few specimen under existing types. That went without any problems, then I created a new subtype, CCT669, and proceed to add two specimen, CC320, CC321, under that subtype. Both time the webpage timed out when I click save in "Create Specimen" page, but both specimen appeared to be saved OK, but now I can't open them. I can open CCT669, and other specimen I created in this session, just not CC320 nor CC321.

A possible clue: CC320 and CC321 are tallied as 2 specimen at the CCT669 level, but go up a level to CCT22, and check the number of specimen counted. It shows 11 specimen at that level, but the tally should be 13. CC320 and CC321 are missing from the list at the CCT22 level.

Interesting clues. I'll run a database maintenance job. Tell me if that changes anything. It should be done in about 10 minutes.

I like it!
Unfortunately, I don't know whether it is working or not. I specified the range, preloaded, 1-click, and created CC322. 1-clicked again and I have CC323. BUT... I can't view them. It is the same bug that you are trying to fix.

FYI, What I try to enter is 1993 I&D Umbrella 3545595-001 3545595-017 1993 CHINA INVENTION OF THE UMBRELLA S5Y PF68 17 out of current population of 33 or 51%
3545596-001 3545596-153 1993 CHINA INVENTION OF THE UMBRELLA S5Y PF69 153 out of current population of 184 or 83%
Pretty impressive stat. I have some comments and speculation about these 10,000+ coins I like to share with you and the CCF community, but I need to collect more data.

Here is a possible clue: CCT668 (I&D Umbrella) was newly created a day or two ago by me. I can't add a specimen manually (using Create Specimen form), neither. However, CCT241 was created long ago, and I added 112 specimen a couple weeks ago without any problem. I just manually added 2 specimen to CCT241 (CC325 and CC326), both are fine. I also use the range feature and add 8 more (CC327-CC334), and they are fine as well.
So it appears that I can add new specimen to Types that existed a week or two ago, but I can't add specimen to Type that were newly created. The newly created types are CCT667, CCT668, and CCT669

Thanks for the additional information. It will give me several new lines of investigation to pursue. My project for today is to figure out what is wrong, and find a workaround to get it out of your way until the bug gets properly fixed. Then, you will hopefully be able to make use of these powerful data features I have added.

I have been able to test this with the information you provided, SANDAC, and I have delivered the information to the right people for fixing it. I am awaiting their response, but I guess that this should be fixed pretty soon. In the meantime, since the site isn't very useful when a bug prevents viewing new pages, I'm going to work on upgrading some of the software, and fixing some other minor bugs that nobody has noticed yet :)

Thanks to the testing information you have provided, SANDAC, the bug in the Coin Compendium is now fixed. Try it out! Let me know if you notice any other strange things. I will be more careful when doing upgrades in the future.
Hopefully we will be able to open the CC for public viewing while we play with it. If there are no issues, then we can consider opening it up for a public beta test with lots more users!

One more thing, I do believe that the image annotator isn't functioning on the image pages, although it still functions on pages that display the image. I had forgotten about that bug, because it isn't as critical as the one we've spent the last month trying to fix.

Two issues: 1. Here are the three specimen I just created: CC336 (3545595-004), CC337 (3545595-005), and CC338 (3545595-006). Display CC337 and you can see the number 005, but the number 004 (left) and 006 (right) are still in red. If you click 004 it should take you to CC336, but it doesn't. It bring up a new FormEdit/Specimen. If you click save in FormEdit (I just did), it creates a new specimen CC339 which is a duplicate of CC336.
2. CCT668 shows 7 specimen, which is correct. Go next level up to CCT332 and it only show 1 specimen. The specimen belongs to CCT668 are not displayed.

Fixed! It looks like there's a few little minor issues scattered throughout the site. I wrote the book on the cause for them, so they're quick and easy to fix.
