I can't believe they sold out of 1oz palladium coin at $3100 with 10,000 mintage.  There is unbelievable demand for metals.  People need a safe place to park their money, stocks seem too high, real estate is tied to economy, taxes may spike if biden wins, china is doing military exercise to scrace US from doing business in Tawain and add pandemic to top it all off.  It is no wonder no one wants to sell and everyone wants to buy.

30% of these will be returned back to US mint probably unless dealers are willing to take an immediate 10% loss.

I wouldn't bet on it.  They haven't been available for two weeks.

I think demand for all gold/silver can only go up as more $ are coming into bullion, gold/silver ETF, mining stocks, rare coins, etc.....     The articles that say demand has only begun may seem far fetched when compared to past up, down cycles but we are entering into a new phase of the markets.      I agree that demand will drive PM to new heights and the rules of past cycles will not apply and similar opinion mentioned in the recent Pricepedia by Robert Mish in his discussion of Chinese rare coins/medals, topic 2021 panda design.

Goldseek    CNBC   "The average American has $90,460 in debt -  here's how much debt American's have at every age."

In the future when gold climbs up will 5 to 10 oz or more cover the debts owed?......

US Mint   San Francisco proof $73 silver 1 oz was sold out...
Restocked.....
Sold out again...
Restocked this morning...

Has the market accepted $73 silver 1 oz proof Eagles as normal price now?     Will spot price be ignored?

I had $6 + of ebay bucks.    Bid and won the cheapest junk silver dimes that looked semi decent on ebay.   About $3 each...

Spot Silver (10/19/2020) $24.46
2020 1 oz American Silver Eagle BU $29.47 (APMEX)
2020 1 oz American Silver Eagle (Uncirculated coin) $67 (USMINT)
2020 1 oz American Silver Eagle (PROOF) $73 (USMINT) (Mintage 200,000?)

People buying from the US Mint are not paying for the silver content. As collector items the mint probably can sell their proof coins anything they want. Problem is always when it comes to selling especially if the spot price drops. Flippers are not yet marking up by much on eBay.
