Numismatic Literary Guild Award
« on: August 25, 2020, 02:01:20 AM »

News of this arrived today. My, oh my. Thanks to everyone for their support and encouragement and especially thanks to NGC. Thanks to the people of China who have gone above and beyond in their kindness to help a stranger in their own land. The award really reflects how numismatics is an area where different cultures can meet and find common interests. We are just beginning.

Best wishes,
Peter Anthony

Thanks for all the great work over the last decade.  You set the bar very high, can't wait to see what you do this decade.  Congrats.

Thanks again to everyone. This is a great community and the Chinese Coin Forum has been my online home for longer than I can remember. In the many ways the best part of coin collecting is the friends you make.

The Numismatic Literary Guild 2020 Writers Awards Ceremony can be found here:

I am very happy that there was representation in the NLG Awards for Chinese numismatics this year. There are an amazing number of high quality numismatic books published in China that are never considered due to the language difference. There are also writers in English, like Frank Wang, who equally deserve recognition for outstanding work. I invite everyone to study and explore this fascinating field. As Nick Brown always said, "Collect. Invest. Have Fun."

Best wishes,

Could a link to Frank Wang's comments on a blog be posted here?

Peter the award is well deserved but to tell the truth, I think your Valentine silver pandas are the best.    Get positive comments on them often and new people that have never seen Chinese silver are totally in awe of them.    The 2019 1 oz w/ deep red heart is my favorite.     Why not a 5 oz or 12 oz or even 20 oz?........
