Palladium Pandas
« on: January 15, 2020, 12:22:55 PM »
Any idea on current values of palladium pandas relative to spot price? I have a 1987 Pd panda (cannot remember if full or 1/2oz?) tucked away and Im curious about what it is worth in today's market. Thanks for any info . . .

2004 and 2005 PD are melt for PF70 and 98% of melt for PF69.  1989 1oz PD are melt plus $300 in PF69 and melt in PF68.  The fast rise of PD has made premiums disappear.

Sorry, mine is the 1988 version. I see Pricepedia has the OMP version priced at $1800. Now that Pd is climbing to $2,200USD, I wonder whether melting them down might become a thing . . .

That has happened in the past when metal values climbed steeply. Several platinum Pandas as well as the 1990's platinum Lunar coins were melted in significant numbers when the platinum price ran up, the 1993 Year of the Rooster, for instance.
