2019 Silver Panda
« on: November 18, 2018, 04:45:33 AM »
Here is a photo taken earlier today of the 2019 10 Yuan silver Panda. I bought this particular coin at the BICE in Beijing last week. Actually, I bought a couple as souvenirs and the lusters between them were significantly different. This one was much a better subject than the other coin.

My one comment about the 2019 Panda is that it is not an easy coin to shoot and some other photos I've seen don't (for me) fully capture its charm. I may still try again...

Does anybody prefer one of these photos to the other? Thanks.

Picture B.  I prefer the lighter colored pandas.

I prefer Picture A. Picture B has a slight antique silver (brownish) tint to it. IMO!

Good photography!

The fur on the baby panda’s head overshot the head outline marking line. Has the same effect you see when kids exceed the margin when coloring with their crayon! You also see the line extend to the left ear. Perhaps it looks different in real life at lower magnification.

These are reflections from the lights, not physically part of the coin. Thank you very much for the feedback.

I also prefer the option B, even though the differences are minor and I really like option A as well. I don't think you can go wrong by going with either of them, honestly.

I think I like B better too, the mirror surface in the background is slight better than A. But both are great!
