The panda(s) occupy a large part of the coin face similar to 2018 design. Is the mountain range in the background identifiable or generic? Any hint of the Great Wall in the mountain range? Another unique design. Thanks for first views!

They seem to have done away with the security anti-counterfeit feature they used to have on the panda side of coin: the two respective segments of bamboo leaves at the top and bottom. I wonder if there are replacement security/anticounterfeit measures in this design.

Thank you for the update. I think the design is okay, but it highlights how special the earlier pandas designs were.

I wonder if Yu Min did this. He does mother/child panda pairs. I may be wrong!

Will this help or hurt the value of this coin?

It is a bullion coin. It should trade for its metal content.

Despite the valuation it may reach at the Gold Exchange if higher (or lower) than the bullion value?

That is exactly, literally what coin dealers and most coin collectors would say to me 15 years ago when I asked about Panda coins by date.

The designer of 2019 pandas is Tong Fang.

I met Tong Fang (the English name she uses is Taylor) today after the Panda Launch and saw the original clay relief and plaster for the 2019 Panda coins. I was very impressed with her and her work. The Panda Launch itself was excellent, too. Also, now that I have seen the coins let's just say that I like how they look in reality better than in the photos I have seen so far. I am looking forward to photographing them and will post samples here as soon as possible.
