Fatman dollar with red character
« on: March 24, 2018, 02:10:35 PM »
I inherited this coin from my grandfather back in the 1960s. He was in the navy and collected a number of coins & notes on his travels. I think this is a 1921 Fatman dollar (correct me if I'm wrong, I am not an expert) but I have no idea why it has a red character stuck to it or what it means. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

That is fantastic, many thanks for your help. This is an excellent forum. I presume the coin would be given to a person or newly married couple to wish them luck.

Unfortunately I need to sell my coins so this one may be going on ebay. Or is there a better place to sell coins?
