NCS Conservation Question
« on: March 18, 2018, 09:12:01 PM »
Hello everyone,

I have two sheets of 2003 silver pandas, and due to the market being somewhat weak for OMP silver pandas, I’m contemplating sending them in to be graded by NGC. They are in good shape, and have minimal oxidation and no white spots. I’m just wondering what everyone’s opinion on NCS conservation.

Should I:

A: submit to NGC and call it a day
B: Choose standard conservation ($25 fee if they think coin could benefit from NCS, otherwise no fee)
C: Choose NCS Modern + NGC Grading (Flat $28 fee for both grading and potential conservation for EVERY SINGLE coin)

Your opinions are much appreciated!

If most of the coins have toning do option C for all of them.  If only a few have toning, then only those do option C and rest do option A.

Please note that white spot free coins in OMP can come back from grading with spots!

Shouldn’t prevent you from sending in your coins but that is something to bear in mind.

The risk is small but not zero.

Good Luck!

Thank you everyone! The sheets have been sold but will likely be sending some other coins to NGC in the near future!
