Sepaktakraw is the name of a sport I play. It is a Malay cultural sport, so I was interested in knowing if he plays it.

Mirkkanen, You must be tremendously athletic to play sepaktakraw. I watched it being played while I was traveling in Malaysia and to my uniformed eye it looked like volleyball played with the feet and not the hands. A spike over the net requiring a Very High leap and kick , great fun to watch.

Happy to know that you enjoyed watching it. In the United States, we have a small group of a few hundred players that travel and compete in tournaments. Most of us are refugees from Southeast Asia, and I am one of the few white players who enjoys the sport. On December 16th and 17th, I will host a large tournament in Las Vegas Nevada at a convention called skillcon. There is a team from Saskatchewan, Canada that will come down to join us.

As for me, when I was a bit younger and quicker I would jump and Spike, but these days I mostly serve and set the ball. I leave the high flying to the younger guys. If you would like to see some video, I can send you a few links to our events on YouTube.
