The seal pattern looks to be an authentic Shenzhen Guobao seal.  N40  Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum.

I will avoid this 2005 1 oz. silver panda. Picture is not good enough to see the multi-layer frosty surface. The 3-dimensional fur details do not look correct. IMO, the capsule may not be original, even though the pouch appears to be from Shenzhen Mint. Perhaps, you should ask seller to provide additional pictures.

I am not aware that 2005 silver panda also being produced at Shenyang Mint. This is news to me. The coin picture posted in Shenyang Mint pouch shows “curved potholes” on temple. It is indigenous to Shenzhen Mint, not Shenyang Mint.

2005 silver panda has a special design, different frosty shades of bamboo stems and leafs vs. panda’s body and forehead. The picture posted in this thread does not show clearly about this special feature.

Attached is the picture copied from http://china-mint.info/forum/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=492 .

Additional picture to show this special design from the seller is needed. Otherwise, I will recommend to avoid this one.

I just made a quick search at eBay and found the following pictures, 2003 1 oz. silver and gold panda. Both are in Shenyang pouch. The pictures do not suggest that Shenyang Mint has “curved potholes”.

Hello

I have the same question, but I have a colored 2005 silver panda... I bought 2 of them quite some years ago and I thought (and I'm still thinking) they are beautiful. However I realised lately that they might not be real  :confused1: when reading some background information about this silver coin. If someone knows I would be really interested in:

a) is my colored silver panda real?
b) does someone know from where the coloration comes?

Unfortunately the pictures are not perfect but if you need better ones I will add.

Many thanks & best regards
MM
