Once dealers have accumulated enough of the other dates from the weak hands, then they will push bids higher.  Same concept in the stock market, accumulate at flat to slightly rising prices, then once they have a nice position, then buy aggressively to squeeze the short positions and attract new buyers to the market.

Supply and demand.
Do you see Supply increasing , or Demand decreasing,
significantly ?

Me neither.

Hi,

because "NGC and Pop" are not everything  :001_rolleyes:
They are (can be) just ONE indicator, but it`s dangerous to refer only to these dates!
(+ the higher the Price, the more get graded and so on...)

I am sure regular folks have been building (Panda) coin sets (silver and/or gold) from Day 1 but it was quiet and largely passive, and relatively fewer collectors were doing so then.

That is, until the highly publicized coin buyback and set building programs commenced in China.

I believe demand for set building coins will continue from all over the world (for as far as I can see). And prices will continue increasing (irregularly and sporadically, and not equally across all coin classes) ........... until the inevitable but unpredictable corrections knock out some of the wind and certainty .......... followed by pain and regret ...... then resumption of the inexorable price climb and junketing.

At some stage it may become too expensive for some collectors/investors to acquire the full set of coins (from 1982 till date). However, I believe that different permutations of coin set building activity are inherent in coin collection.

PS: These thoughts may not be based completely on reality but they are possibilities!

Wait till gold bullion breaks out then prices will shock everyone.    jsmineset has a article "key points to take home on today's gold market".   Some say Jim Sinclair (jsmineset) is the world's #1 authority on gold but that is a huge crown so maybe he is one of the top people.........
