I just came across this thread by accident.

I mirror the appreciation by others of your work in creating this list, KOT. Thank you very much for your efforts.

You are welcome.

I enjoyed doing it and learnt a lot.

It’s probably time for another update!

Yes, this list is worth maintaining in my view.

Besides "fwang2450" being an exceptional resource, I have also found "Andrew Lee" on the SilverStackers forum to have a wealth of info on Chinese medals.

KOT    Feng has 1 Gold Horse and 5 Silver sets....
silver sets
1979 Chinese Painting set   2 pc silver set
1979  Unearthed relics or Archaeological 12 pc silver set
1980 Be open to navigation  2 pc silver set
1981 Lu Xun 2 pc silver set..........Fwang's blog has photo of set w/ gold Lu Xun too but i have never seen it on ebay...
1981 70th Anniversary Xin Hai  1 silver ........i have seen it w/ gold too....

1979?  Gold flying horse on swallow

Several gilt brass and aluminum medals posted on topic "CATTE aluminum Feng set".....   Even collectors/dealers in China do not own or have no knowledge of these medals.     Unknown medals from early artists are a gamble but could prove to have big value when/if there is a publication.     Feng is alive today so it should be easy for the Chinese book authors to contact him for details.....

Some items to add to Chang Huan:

2006 Panda coin
2012 2000 Yuan gold 30th Panda Anniversary coin
2015 Moon Festival "Space gold" Panda side
2016 Valentine Panda
2016 Honolulu Coin Show (all)
2017 Valentine Pandas (all)
2017 Hong Kong Coin Show
2018 Valentine Pandas (all)
2019 Valentine Pandas (all)

There are many more coins and medals to add. This is just off the top of my head. I'll send some more.

There are some really significant coin artists who aren't even mentioned at all on this list, but it's a good beginning with a lot of effort put into it already. Thanks.

Best wishes,

Somebody noticed! Thank you pandamonium. There will be much more information in the next few days and it will appear in the Buy/Sell area of the forum. But here are the mintages:

2019 silver Valentine 1 oz.: 500 pieces
2019 silver Valentine 9 grams: 1,000 pieces
2019 gold Valentine 5 grams: 194 pieces

And here are also a couple of mysteries for you: All three 2019 Valentine Pandas come with something that (I believe) has never before been used like this for any Chinese coin or medal release. Second, the silver Valentines have a feature that is new to Pandas. Any guesses?

P.S. I am very and sincerely grateful to China Banknote Printing & Minting for their cooperation and understanding.

These are all great ideas, but not the right ones. I will try to get the information posted on pandacollector.com and here as soon as possible. Thanks!

If I were to design a valentine's day medal and if I were well connected in the PRC, I would include the image of a valentine's day letter with a 1980 8 fen monkey stamp on the letter (cancelled by China Post in a city which is known as a romance destination by the Chinese people).
