Warning! Lots of fakes of this series, eb is full of them. And grading companies spend more time on these because they are tricky. I would only buy this series graded.

Quote from pmg: "Certain paper money valued under $3,000 that require additional research for authentication are not eligible for Standard, Economy or Bulk Tiers; Submit the following paper money using the World Express Tier: People’s Republic of China dated 1948-51. Please note, due to the additional research needed, the turnaround times for these PRC notes may be longer than the estimated 5 day World Express turnaround time."

This is P#801 in the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money from 1948 as well.
I don´t know exavtly how to tell if it´s fake. hopefully someone with more knowledge and experience can help out with that.
But as mentioned earlier in this thread, even grading companies have to work harder to figure it out...

Mod: Just noticed two 50 Yuan of yours have same serial number, which I believe is a bad sign, that could indicate that they are copies. I think (pls check with others!) they are fake  :(

Thanks for id and also for the noting about serial numbers. It is at least strange, and I wonder, how I haven`t  noticed it myself
