"Asian Collectors Give Christie’s a High-Yield Night"
New York Times, May 14, 2014

"In a nearly three-hour auction of postwar and contemporary art on Tuesday night, Christie’s managed to sell nearly $745 million worth of blue-chip paintings and sculptures, thanks in large part to the enormous wealth of Asian collectors."

" 'I think they’re Hoover vacuum cleaners — they’re buying everything...' ”

Be interested to know what percent of the "...enormous wealth of Asian collectors.." are valid sophisticated collectors vs. mindset of "face" and "Keeping Up with the Wangs".

Could this happen in August?   At some point bullion will break free from manipulation and rare coins will step up to the plate.........

Rare Art market money will make it into rare coins/MCC at some point when bullion takes center stage.    The price manipulation of bullion may continue as the Master Manipulators will do anything to control price.   We are getting closer to ending the manipulation, who knows when.   Almost shocking how much cash the Chinese are throwing around for art.   (Hopefully the future price for MCC will be shocking too!).......
