Prices on all colored went up and then down.    Typical of MCC, up-down, up-down, just like manipulated bullion.      The important thing is to have in hand the ones you want and forget the price up-down because we all know bullion will eventually go to the moon.......
I know of many people that i convinced to buy bullion.    When prices are up they dance the jig, when prices are down they become bitter.   These are weak hands that don't get the picture so they go off on a emotional roller coaster...  They are better off w/ paper instruments...

The fair current value (auction @ ebay) for the Panda Premium Set Medals should be for OMP/PFUC69:

1 Oz AG Lunar Series 2003 - Goat Colorized: 150 Dollars
1 Oz AG Lunar Series 2004 - Monkey Colorized: 200 Dollars
1 Oz AG Lunar Series 2005 - Rooster Colorized: 150 Dollars
1/10 Oz AU Lunar Series 2005 - Rooster Hologram: 300 Dollars
1 Oz AG Lunar Series 2006 - Dog Colorized: 200 Dollars
1 Oz AG Lunar Series 2007 - Pig: Not released
1 Oz AG Lunar Series 2008 - Rat Colorized & Gold Gilded (Mintage each 500): 150 Dollars
1 Oz AG Lunar Series 2009 - Ox Gold Gilded: 150 Dollars
1 Oz AG Lunar Series 2010 - Tiger Gold Gilded: 200 Dollars
1 Oz AG Lunar Series 2011 - Rabbit Gold Gilded with Ruby: 200 Dollars
1 Oz AG Lunar Series 2012 - Dragon Gold Gilded with Pearl: 200 Dollars

Some medals are sold for more Money, but i think the Prices above are currently ok.
But the medals are very rare and are quick sold out for this Price..
I search some over months, but not one Piece.

The 2008 Rat has both colored and gilt.      500 mintage?    How many are gilt?   How many are colored?     Is it only year w/ both color and gilt?.........

How was actual mintage of the round Silver Color Lunars determined?       Estimate by collectors/dealers or did it come from China Mint?     Any new info on this series?.......

Rarely see any of them on ebay but the 2003 Color Goat and a 2004 Color Monkey.     Beware of color fade w/ OMP.....

Also, is anyone building a PF 70 set?     I know of a 2005 Rooster and 2008 Color Rat PF 70.     Any more 70's??

imo ..
the 500 color mouse was produced and then the decision came to equip the 500 sets with a gilded mouse.

.. Only 500 sets were issued for worldwide distribution, which makes this the most limited edition ever for this popular China Panda set. Previous editions have ranged as high as 2000 sets. The entire edition of 500 is SOLD OUT at the mint. The hallmark of the Panda Lunar Premium set each year is a 1-oz pure Proof Silver medallion struck to honor the particular lunar year. This year's design honors the Year of the Mouse with a charming design of a mouse and bunch of grapes - depicted in the intricate style of traditional Chinese paper cut. However, whereas previous Lunar Medallions featured color images, the 2008 Silver Lunar Medallion is the FIRST EVER to feature 24k pure Gold gilding!

Thank you for the info and i will forward this link.   So Gov Mint has the details.    Hopefully it is all accurate.     The color lunar series are just beauties but i have only seen most gilt and some colored on this forum and not on ebay.     ( Probably listed in the past when i was not paying attention).....

Gilt and gold plated or gold inlay silver pandas have a higher price as they are more popular.     1st yr of gilt gold panda is the 1996 Beijing International Coin Expo.    Correct?.....

See photo.  Is this the 1st NON-panda MCC w/ gilt or gold inlay?   1997 (fighting) Ox silver.
Since gilt pandas are popular why not other MCC?     In a slow market this may not mean much but when the market gets hot then maybe it will.......any opinions?....
