The Berlin Mint has unveiled a stunning new Panda Medal. There will be one edition from Germany and one from China. There will be a brass and a silver version of each medal. You can find an article on the project on "www.bullionblog.eu". Images courtesy of the Berlin Mint.

Growl, you two better run as I'm going to eat you  is the China medal?

The bear holding flowers is the Germany medal?

Read the NGC article on these I think the China version is minted by a private mint.

Yes the China version is a private min product. "Yu Min’s version will be produced by one of the leading private mints in China." from the NGC article.

Is there a COA? NGC news says private.

I think the COA says "Shanghai Mint" there.

Well, to me, those "medals" are the dissappointment of the century ... I saw several of the silver sets and the Berlin mint medals are of an awkward quality ... there are hairlines on ANY coins which makes them ineligible for grading. And the brass version has yet not been seen in Germany. The mintage is way too high. I don't understand why there is such a fuzz about those medals...in fact, nobody cares about that stuff in Germany, from my point of view.
