Today, when I was looking up an NGC cert # of a gold panda medal, surprisingly, I found in the NGC census that there is also a 50 gram GOLD 2016 125th ANNIVERSARY ANAheim panda medal. We all know that the 1oz Anaheim medal is already super expensive and with a very low mintage. Anyone knows anything about this 50 gram gold Anaheim medal? Attached is the screenshot.

mint.gov the owner of MCM sold the 50g gold PF70 and 50g silver PF70 to their best customers in a private sale, they sold out very fast and none were offered to the general public.  I don't know the exact price, but a customer told me he paid $12-14K range, not sure if that included 50g silver in the price.

I sold 4x 31g gold NGC PF70 to customers that bought 50g coins to complete their sets, the remaining 4 that I had went to customers that don't own 50g.

Oh wow. I wonder what it takes to be one of the best customers of govmint. I think their prices are almost always higher than elsewhere. This time it seems they are the only dealer who has those 50g gold medals?

I would be careful with any of these ..... I think you are much safer with the gold than the silver .......  the silver  1 oz   fell from $500 to $800 to $250 to $300  MCM quitely sold them on a secret sale for $199 in ms70 ..I have a funny feeling you will see the 50g silver act the same way

MCM sold the 50g silver one at $495 for a PF69 one many days ago. I did not think that was a good deal and did not buy.

Who knows? the 1 oz sure dropped, all on e bay now in ms 70 that are selling for 260 or so.. those I assume are people who paid 199... I bought 4 at that price and sold 3  quickly for 289/299 on e bay ....I think you might see the 50g silver act the same way.

The 50g silver is 625 mintage vs 31g silver is 2000 mintage.  I don't think 31g is a good buy, but 50g at $500 is very reasonable.  Great wall medal with 500 mintage sells for $1500 at peak it was $7000, 1984 pagoda silver with mintage between 260-1000 sells for $500/coin, at peak it was $3000/coin.

The mintage of 1oz and 50g gold were both 125 tied to 125th anniversary of the ANA.

a 50 gram silver in ms70 auctioned for 565.55 last night on e bay...... with only 625 mintage ...I would expect mint.gov and MCM has sold most of it for big money .......we shall see if any pop up on the market in pf70   mostly what i see now for sale are the pf 69 that MCM unloaded for 499 .... it will be interesting ? the floor is probably $500 ish as anyone holding an ms70 PAID UP FOR IT big time thru mint.gov
