Identifying Chinese silver bars
« on: February 18, 2015, 06:29:08 PM »
Am hoping someone can give me some info on these bars as to authenticity history and value. The first Photos are of one type and the last two are of a different bar. My searches has revealed nothing..... Thanks!

Is that gold? Those are WAY cool! I want one, lol. I'm no help, sorry. Just admiring your shiny objects!

I think they are not real as 9999 was not used till 1980.

The bar with 9999 on it claims to be from China during the Ch'ing dynasty (1644-1911), but is a fantasy -- no such piece was ever made. The other bar claims to be from Vietnam, from around 1820, but it too is a fantasy.
