According to what I read in China a year or so ago, the Belt and Road program involves building a mind-bogglingly large rail system from East Asia to a terminus in Iran.

In the early 2000s the Canadian mint came up with some very cheaply done coloured silver coins. Recent issues such as this one Peter came up with should be much much better

Peter

A few simple questions about the red color on the heart.   Is the red color paint or some other substance?  Is it hand applied by brush or is it sprayed with a dot-matrix application?  Will encapsulation help preserve the bright and vibrant red color over time?

Many years ago, the Canadian Mint applied a red color to the maple leaf on gold and silver coins.  The red color on the gold coins was applied by hand and the red color on the silver coins was sprayed with a dot-matrix application.  The quality of the paint used varied with the cost of the item (higher quality paint was used for the gold coins).  A company in Boston performed this function on behalf of the Mint.

This is another lovely 9 gm silver design from Ms. Chang Huan and it is heart-shaped, but I do not consider it a Valentine Panda because....no Panda! The mintage is 1,200 for 2019 and it is struck at the Shenyang Mint. It is possibly the first of a new series that is not really aimed at collectors..

Due to supply of new issue-low mint medals I am not a collector of them (like many others).     However, Peter's red heart silver panda is unique and gets lots of positive comments.     It would not take much demand in the near future to buy up supply.    I could be wrong but i think these red hearts will eventually have demand.....
