I have never seen a y2k coin in the US, they must have all stayed in Germany.  The privy mark ones were reasonably easy to find in the US.  Unfortunately NGC won't certify either of these coins, which why I never collected them.

Fake Chinese Coins / Re: List of fake Chinese coin sellers
« Last post by elaine 1970 on January 13, 2018, 03:33:02 AM »
I saw alibaba posted selling fake panda for just 38 u s cent a piece.  Like minimum order at least 1000 pc or so.  And the firm stated that those coins are for souvenir
purposes.  So if I bought at that low price.  I will not be worrying.  The problem is that so many people bought them and re sell it as a genuine silver coin.  And where so many colllectors can not even distinguish it.

My comment to this is that the small manufacturer did not earn a lot of money.  It is the people around the world including many American who did this fake coin business.  So beware.

Chinese Panda Coins / Re: Chinese panda coin official mintages

I would suspect the 2017 China silver panda sales will be less than half of 10,000,000 maximum planned.  Look at american silver eagle 2017 sales.  Look at dealers 2017 silver panda inventories.    You will know 2017 is a dull year.  But 2018 will be much different.  Where almost all the analyst predict price of silver will move up significantly.  Some even suggest breaking the all time high record.  So the sales for all bullion silver coins minted around the world should be high.  By then, 2018 silver panda might be sell out.  Just my prediction.

Well I am back after seven long years of absent.  After buying again some silver coins that I like.
