Title: Hello from the Bay Area
Post by: Mirkkanen on January 09, 2012, 10:38:49 PM
I've been stacking PMs in the post-2008 crash era, so I'm relatively new to the game.

I'm excited to learn more about Chinese coins and to view the amazing coins ya'll own and are looking to sell

In my very short Chinese coin collecting career, I have had some amazing fortune and mild misfortune. Coming from a position of little knowledge about this niche of numismatics, I decided it would be well worth my time to increase my knowledge base.

Best score:
Paying $165 for a 1/10 oz 1998 gold panda (stupidly resold it for a large profit. Wish I still had it.)

Worst mistake:
Buying a fake 2000 gold panda (money refunded luckily)

I'm looking forward to a good experience learning from the members of this fine forum. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum Mirkkanen!
Nice score on the 1998.
Good luck with your knowledge quest and future coin acquisitions.

Most of early members of this forum probably bought their early Panda's at bullion price.   :w00t:  :sneaky2: :sneaky2:

Haha, funny to look back at my earliest post and see how far I've come.

Still so much to learn, and so many more coins to buy!
