Sharing details of a piece I stumbled across a few minutes ago browsing the LPM.hk site. Enjoy.

Coin Highlights:
Ultra-Low mintage of only 100 coins worldwide. And silver 5000.
Contains 1 oz of .999 fine Gold.
Individual coins come in a capsule.
Obverse: Depicts an up-to-date design of a highly detailed Western Unicorn.
Reverse: Depicts an up-to-date design of a highly detailed Eastern Unicorn.
Laser etched with the year, weight and purity on the rim of the coin. Also, laser etched with the 25th anniversary of the original coin.
Minted in Shanghai.

Ebay 123854930826     APMEX says restrike from private mint, minted in Shanghai....

As other have posted, not all private mint are a step down since Official Mint artists that retire go to work at private mints.     Mostly w/ the early years.......     Wish the artists like Chen Jian/Feng Yunming/etc..  would have a book or article w/ all the coins/medals they have designed or helped design....
