Title: coin with ying/yang and chin symbols - help needed
Post by: stev on September 06, 2016, 04:31:54 AM
Hello,

found this coin but cannot really identify it as it has no information I can understand. One side is having a ying and yang symbol surrounded by chin symbols and surrounded by two dragons. the other side has some chinese symbols I cannot read. I would appreciate some help identifying this coin and if this was used as currency.

Thank you, Stev

This is an imitation of the China Haikuan tael made in the 1860's. The real one is worth tens of thousands of dollars.
