Incidentally, the listed mintage of the matte Volleyball is 1,000. They were actually made a couple of years after the normal proof versions, a practice that is forbidden today.

China has other sports themed coins such as the 1982 World Cup 1 Yuan Brass coin. Shows very good workmanship and style. Unfortunately copper and brass coins degrade faster than silver, gold or platinum coins. Oxidation spot on obverse of coin. Mintage 40,000 I believe.
