Looking for serious seller
« on: August 31, 2015, 08:33:14 AM »
Greetings, fellow collectors!

I'm looking for a good seller of Chinese coins from the Ming, Yuan, Jin, Sui, Han and three kingdoms dynasties in Europe on ebay. In the last time, I always come across http://www.ebay.de/usr/best66666?_trksid=p2047675.l2559
Are his coins real or fake?

Have a nice day!

Hello  --  I looked at the coins available from the dealer you mentioned. Most of the modern coins are genuine but half of the old coins (cast coins) are fake. One clue -- he has at least three 3-hole spade coins, starting at $15. These are the rarest of Chinese ancient coins. Coins from about 25 different places are known -- every one of them extremely rare, some known from only a single example. Genuine examples rarely ever show up, when they do, they start at US $10,000. Two of the pieces he has are from the same mold; only the patina is different.  -- Bruce W. Smith
