MCM silver were selling for $80 at the show and no line to buy them.

Last year 2016 ANA were selling for $100 at the show and you had to wait 30-120 minutes in line to buy them, then immediately you could flip them for $200 to MCM, then on ebay PF69 with the show release label they were selling for $300 and PF70 $500.  Today show release label PF69 are down to $95 and PF70 $185.

where the buyers go?

Based on comments I've heard, some are concerned about the 5,000 mintage.

Best wishes,

Interesting comment.  The top registry guy for gold pandas in 2007, is heavily buying bitcoins, he sold his gold panda collection in 2008 to me and recently I was talking with him and he was telling to load up on bitcoins.  I set up account and bought some ether and lite, but sold them already, may buy back if the price drops, I have limit orders in 40-50% below the current price.

Expect prices to move up dramatically during the months of August and September before pulling back in October. All the crypto currencies are highly correlated so they will move together, BTC, ETH, LTC.  It's quite possible we see $4-5K bitcoin, $500 ETH, and $100 LTC over the next 45 days. It has literally taken me away from gold/silver purchases. I started heavily accumulating bitcoin in January 2016 in anticipation of the halving event that took place last July.  Pullbacks can certainly retrace 40-50%.

One of my small fry collector friends is out of MCC and into cryptocurrencies too.       Buying big time while prices are cheap but gamble risk is high......not all cryptocurrencies will survive........         strange world we live in...

It is common to see people chase performance.  Back in late 2010 and early 2011 all these speculators came into the market and were buying indiscriminately, they just wanted to get invested quickly because prices would rise 10-20% a month.  Some did well and sold along the way, but many bought near the peak around september 2011 and sold at heavily discounted prices in the coming months to a year.  By mid 2012 speculators were all gone, moved on to something else.  I look forward to the day that speculators come back to the MCC market, they make cashing out decision easy.

Most of the bitcoin volume is coming from Asia, Koreans loading up in case of conflict.  That is why in the last few days the other alt-coins didn't follow bitcoin up.  I think bitcoin is the new gold during times of instability, few months back gold and bitcoin were trading at parity, today one bitcoin buys 3.3oz of gold.

I don't disagree with that but bitcoin volume has been traditionally been from the east anyway.  This site shows the flow of bitcoin and is pretty cool.  And it's actually volume in the US that is spiking.

Cool website.   I think most of the trades in Asia don't go through an exchange, they just go wallet to wallet, which I don't if the site tracks.  I am still learning what gets reported and what just moves among cold wallets.

so it seems china is banning bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies now. how is this going to affect those cryptocurrencies, as well as MCC?

Only ICOs are being banned, which is like IPO for stocks.  This ban should help bring more money into MCC.  We have perfect storm brewing in the MCC market:
1) rising gold due to N. Korea
2) rising RMB due to China tighter restrictions on fund flow, RMB has moved from 6.95 to 6.5 in 8 months, this a big move
3) ban on ICO, that is one less investment choice
4) non existent new supply in the US

The final trigger that could move the market is new orders for master sets, once those come in combined with the above factors we could see a strong move up.
