Southern California Fires
« on: December 07, 2017, 03:13:49 PM »
Today, I see photos of new, huge wildfires in Southern California.  Fires stoked by 80 mph winds racing through dry vegetation.  I am hoping our members in that region had time to get out safely and, secondarily, that they had time to take care of their cherished coin collections.   The stories--shared after the fires of just weeks ago--of plastic slabs melted around high-grade coins are ones that no collector would want to experience.  Be safe, your lives are of highest importance.   N39

The photos of the fires are surreal.      What a tragedy as the fires went all the way to the coast line.    Wonder how many rare Chinese coins were lost in fires this last yr or two.......
