The 90mm set was issued on 10/26/2017.

The shipping cost to US will be very expensive.

The COAs to my set say 80mm diameter. Is there a 90mm set? The representatives at the mint only mentioned two sizes: 45mm and 80mm.

The Jibi.net story shows different packaging than what the Shenyang Mint itself sells. It also lists them as 80mm diameter. Thanks for that link.

Each medal weighs around 380 grams, so shipping all five would be around 2 kg + boxes.

Best wishes,
Peter Anthony

“For the time being, we can enjoy the 500 “Garden of Life” sets that were struck in antiqued brass. They are 80mm in diameter and weigh approximately 370 grams apiece. They are not the cheapest medals around – the retail price of a set is around $400 USD. Considered as art, though, they are a bargain, something to sing about – and a less expensive 45mm set also exists.”

I happened to own 2015 issued 45 mm “Garden of Life” set.

Very nice. I like the box design, too. Each of the 80mm medals has its own box.

Best wishes,
Peter Anthony

The Panda medal is packaged together with the book and should be available at the next coin show in Hong Kong. There was no plan to offer it for sale as a single item.

If you were asking about the Garden of Life medals there are still some for sale in Shenyang as well as other places in China.

Best wishes,
Peter Anthony

General Discussion / Worst Chinese Coins/Medals to invest in
« Last post by pandamonium on Today at 10:04:32 AM »
I stumbled across this article by Adam Doolittle on Silver Monthly  "The 10 worst silver coins for investment".      He says Chinese Silver Pandas are one of them.   Of course we disagree and Adam has not studied this market.   There maybe other articles that are similar but this one is enough for me.    I also contacted GATA (besides many others) and they agree w/ me that Chinese coins/medals have a big upside....

However, there are Chinese coins/medals that are a very poor investment too.

Please list the Chinese that you think are totally a stupid buy.....
