Selling 1988 5 oz. Gold Lunar Dragon
« on: December 30, 2010, 08:43:51 AM »
This hard to find 1988 500 Yuan Gold Chinese Dragon is part of the Lunar Coin series. It contains 5 oz. of gold and comes with its original box and certificate. On December 21 another 1988 500 Yuan Gold Dragon sold in Shanghai for $24,102 (http://www.hosane.com/productdetail.asp?auctionid=S10127&pieceCode=9111&Page=7). This coin is offered for the much lower price of $15,888 due to condition issues and should be a very good investment at the price. The obverse side has copper spots and hairlines. The copper spots are removable with conservation and the rest might be improvable. Right now I believe the coin grades between PF-60 and PF-62.

Guaranteed 100% genuine and comes with a 15 day return privilege. Please feel free to contact me with questions or to arrange payment at: info@pandacollector.com. Because the price exceeds PayPal's single item limit I have arranged for payment to be handled by one of the largest gold and silver coin dealers in the United States, so you will have their guarantee as well as my own. USA sales only on this coin.

Best wishes,
Peter Anthony

Look like there are few hairlines on the great wall side, can you confirm the condition? Thank you.

The coin is in a vault but my recollection is that there are hairlines which is why I estimate its grade at PF-60-62. If you are interested in it let me know — I have some flexibility on the price.
