Huh?  Do you really believe a dragon symbol will bring down your luck and drain your energy?  Was that on a HBO comedy show?   Do people really believe that stuff or are you just teasing me?  I did not say put a dragon on the Bruce Lee coins.   Enter the dragon is the name of his movie.   Put Bruce on the coins and it will increase sales.  Who in the East is more World famous than Bruce Lee?   Maybe the Dalai Lama of Tibet........

Yes, I believe. I also believe in ghosts and the unseen forces though I've not seen a ghost before. I believe there is a God or Higher Power too.

Not just dragon symbol, even a smiley face had to be changed due to fengshui:

You asked >>> Who in the East is more World famous than Bruce Lee?

Bruce Lee is kind of violent and old-news. Currently, the most world-famous celebrity from the East is Faye Wong.

How about we talk about the soccer matches being played instead of the politics? I hope it is not too much to ask to enjoy a non-economic topic . . .

On another forum I frequent, I happened to choose the winner and the correct score of the USA-Ghana match. I watched the first goal in disbelief. So happy that we even have a chance to get out of the group of death . . .

I heard my colleagues discussing predictions that Brazil will lose the World Cup. Why and details, I did not ask as I was overhearing their conversation.

I too believe in God and spiritual powers   There are many unknown forces on this Earth.  Even witching for water w/ a Y tree branch is very strange and it works.   Now i think about it, there probably is no need for a Bruce Lee coin as there is a Hou Yi.   He looks to be a warrior.  Who is Faye Wong?  Will look him up.   Collecting Chinese coins is a learning experience w/ culture too.   The Chinese have a long history so they know many things that we in the West have no clue to........

Houyi shooting down 9 suns is a great coin. I wanted to buy it but felt it was overpriced and unslabbed.

Faye Wong is an elegant lady celebrity. Famous (and had held concerts) in China, Taiwan, Hongkong, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, US, Canada and Australia.
She was the second Chinese celebrity (after Gong Li) to be featured on the cover of Time magazine.
In 2004 and 2005 Faye Wong was ranked in the top 5 on the Forbes China Celebrity 100. Now Fan Bingbing is in the lead due to the recent X-Men movie, but Fan Bingbing is nowhere near in the greatness of Faye Wong.

What team is Hou Yi playing for? Scored any goals yet? So what is the big deal?

Any specific teams folks are rooting for? From games I've seen, Germany and Nederland are the team to beat. I would not be surprised if either of them wins the 2014 World Cup. :001_smile:

I think I might be in the minority.  I'm not a member of any rabid fan group, rooting for a particular team (although a US win is always nice).  I just want to see beautiful soccer, regardless of who is doing it.  I tend to cheer the great pass or shot, first, and then notice which team did it, second.

Any sport that resulted in property damages and worst people injured or died due to a "game" lose/win is nothing to be cheering about.

It just a game people; enjoyed it, celebrated it, go home peacefully.

I'm off of my soap box, getting back to coin related.

Bigger than goals. Hou Yi shot down 9 Suns. He is a Chinese mythology hero. :thumbup1:

Without Hou Yi, planet Earth would be 10 times hotter. N38

If the fans of the losing team go home peacefully, it would be really a bliss.

More often, fans of the losing team did not go home peacefully... Really shows the upbringing and mannerisms of the people.

Dutch fans riot after World Cup Final defeat
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/world-cup/7885477/Dutch-fans-riot-after-World-Cup-Final-defeat.html

Anger directed at British referee Howard Webb spilled over in street violence in The Hague in the early hours of Monday morning.

Mounted police were called in to disperse a group of 200 rioting Dutch fans and there were 40 arrests.

Hundreds of thousands of fans left Amsterdam after a planned victory parade in a boat through the capital's canals on Monday afternoon was cancelled.

But the team plane was escorted back into Dutch airspace by an F-16 fighter jet, painted in the national Orange colours ahead of a reception with Queen Beatrix.

Newspaper headlines included "Orange tears" and "Not Again" above pictures of weeping Dutch players with despairing references to a new "trauma" after previous defeats to West Germany and Argentina in 1974 and 1978.

I personally expect both in the semifinals, as well as Argentina and Chile one of the mentioned teams should win the Cup, I will be cheering Chile as one of the underdogs. Even more, they produce copper and I have lots of copper coins in my collection :-)
