I hope NGC's employee health benefits includes a generous vision plan.  I think after carefully inspecting 1,000,000 coins their graders might have some eye strain  :001_tongue:

"NGC becomes the first third-party coin grading service to certify more than 1,000,000 Chinese coins.

Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®) has become the first third-party coin grading service to grade 1,000,000 Chinese coins. This important milestone was reached during NGC’s recent on-site grading event at its office in Shanghai, China.

NGC has had a presence in China since 2008 when it opened an Official Submission Center in Guangzhou, becoming the first international coin grading service to operate within the country. Two years later NGC began to grade and encapsulate coins in China—another first for an international coin grading service—and has since held on-site grading events in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing.

As demand for its on-site grading services in China increased, NGC opened an office in Shanghai in November 2013. It quickly outgrew that office and in July 2015 NGC opened a new, larger office in the prestigious Xintiandi District of Shanghai.

NGC’s Shanghai office is operated by NGC Shanghai Business Information Consulting Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of NGC in China. The office hosts frequent NGC on-site grading events as well as on-site professional coin conservation by Numismatic Conservation Services (NCS) and on-site paper money grading by Paper Money Guaranty (PMG). NGC, NCS and PMG are independent members of the Certified Collectibles Group (CCG).

“It is a great honor to have been trusted to certify more Chinese coins than any other grading service. This accomplishment would not have been possible without all of the support that we have received from our Official Submission Centers as well as from countless collectors and dealers,” says Steven R. Eichenbaum, CEO of CCG. “We continue to expand our services in China as part of our long-term commitment to the Chinese market and I fully expect that 1,000,000 Chinese coins graded is just the tip of the iceberg.”

Submissions to NGC in China may be made through one of its five Official Submission Centers located in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing and Xi’an. For a list of Official Submission Centers, visit NGCcoin.cn."

Please clarify. Were ALL 1,000,000 Chinese coins submitted within China or does this number include Chinese coins graded in or submitted from other countries? Thanks.
