Please help with the identification medal pig gold
« on: December 07, 2016, 03:12:19 PM »
Hello

I bought this beautiful medal.
It resembles a 1/10 gold year of the pig.

Unfortunately I can not find any information about this medal.
I hope someone can help.
Official or private medal?
Who issued it?
Can someone translate the font on the box and the certificate?
Mintage?
Value ?

Thank you very much
Best regards

This is medal from Taiwan and issued by Chinatimes, a newspaper in Taiwan, as shown in the box. No mention of mintage in the invoice. Check the weight. It may be more than 0.1 oz. (1/10 Tael). It is most likely a new year gift to employees.

Thank you for the information .
You are right, the medal weighs 4.2 grams.
Are there any reviews on NGC or PCGS?
Where do you think the value of this coin is?
Gold value +? Or is there a collector's market?

As always, many questions. I hope for many answers.  N31
