The NGC census is showing several 2016 Gold MS70 pandas as being graded under the following designation:
G500Y: "one of the first 1250 struck" (831 total)
G200Y: "one of the first 1000 struck" (692 total)
G100Y: "one of the first 750 struck" (565 total)
G50Y: "one of the first 750 struck" (565 total)
G10Y: "one of the first 750 struck" (565 total)

Request for help:
Does anyone on the forum know who submitted these coins or how to acquire them?
*I hear rumors that these may have come from a Chinese submission.

Panda halves

For information,

Letter of certificate from China Gold Coin Inc's Export Division for “First Strike” 2013 silver panda in PCGS holder.

In 2015, China Gold Coins Inc. issued “First Strike” 20,000 gold panda sets and 50,000 silver pandas in SHG (Shanghai Gold Coin Co., a division of China Gold Coins Inc.) holder. Attached picture is #00001/50000 holder. This coin was sold for RMB 1860, 12 times over the when-issued price.

Does it then mean that the NGC descriptives highlighted by PandaHalves is just verbiage for "First Strike". If so only the "Early Releases" are in the market right now.

I am very reliably told (NOT by NGC, btw) that the coins in question were submitted in the USA. They are in effect first strikes, imo.

A phone call to pandaamerica might elicit more information. I believe one or more of the staff may be forum members. So they should be aware of these enquiries.

This eBay listing illustrates the "Early Release" and "First Releases" Labels (for the 2014 Gold Panda coins).

Please note that the tally of the labels in the photo is different from the description of the slabs further down in the page.

What is the general consensus of a release price for the 50g proof?

Hello my good friend this is just my opinion but with the high demand for MCC in China and extraordinary prices being paid to build three and $400,000  for MCC in China and extraordinary prices being paid to build three and $400,000 sense sets I would not be surprised at all if we did not even see those proofs in the US I have been looking pretty diligently and I have not seen one of either size for sale
