600,000 gold 1/2 ounce pandas.  That is such a big number compared to what we've been used to for the G1/2 oz for so many earlier years.

You said it, Birdman.   Depending on your perspective and collecting focus, these mintage numbers lately can make even some previously "common" coins seem rare.  Look at the '86 1/2, with 48,000 minted.  I've always considered that an easy date to acquire, fairly common, not a ton of premium.  But compared to 600,000, it looks rare.
