Hippanda:
So here's something mildly curious, while the topic of the 1973-1974 Chinese Exhibition is so hot:

Inexpensive, copper/zinc medals

PandaOrLunar:
Interesting.  What is the going market price?  Any prediction on the final price?

Hippanda:
This brass set is purported to be possibly far rarer than the listed 30,000 number of sets. Fwang2450?
Appears to be worth obtaining, the box is unusually nice!

Evidently related to 1980 Sino-US trade shows?

bonke:
Are these official China Mint products or were these medals produced by some private company?  Has NGC authenticated and graded these trade medals?  I find no information in the NGC census.  Mark Bonke

poconopenn:
Yes, this is the medal set issued by China Mint for 1980 US-China trade show in Beijing.
