But why would you be, as you say "out of bidding on this one" ? If you want it, couldn't you just yell over to Marc at the next desk and tell him end the auction and sell it to you?

A bit of hype of one's own auction, and that's done here, no big deal, but it would have perhaps been more straight-up to disclose it was the new member's own auction, that's all.

Yes, I know the seller and yes I wanted the coin. I own Traders Cottage in San Antonio Texas. I buy gold, silver and coins but he wanted more than I was willing to pay for a panda ( I don't care what date or version - at some point, it's still gold to me and I didn't become successful throwing away money on things just cause someone says it has a perceived value)

Once it surpassed my level of comfort, yes, I helped my freind by trying to let those (a panda forum, disscusion website and a blog for pandas) to let people know of the coin and a deal that it certainly seemed to be at from the great advice and information from members of THIS forum.

Sorry everyone seems to be investigative haters on here for some reason but your investigative skills I would grade at 59% effective (failing grade - if you investigate grading levels of schools and colleges)

After all, you did realize that the seller and my business are in the same city but that's about all you got right.

Not buying that.  You had a chance at full disclosure, you didn't take it. It was odd you came on as a new member excitedly pointing out a high-end coin auction, and you are a "buying gold" jewlery operation with ebay sales too.

Multiple sources for a Marc Boice (lister) working at Traders Cottage in San Antonio, of which you are listed as CEO.

Any chance he could work there, and you not know it?

Doesn't really matter if he still works for you or not, or is a friend now who owes you money, whatever...
Your posts were ingenuine, full of exclamation marks !!!! to hype the sale, and you should have disclosed your involvment. You certainly didnt register to post about that coin to help us here.

But whatever... Those other boards naively welcome all members thinking its the friendly thing to do, but predators who deliberately mislead others rub me wrong.  

And I dont care about Karma.  Like I said, nice coin.  Good luck with your auction.

Furthermore, the primary image on the auction violates e-bay policy as it isn't of the actual coin and probably also violates copyright law as it was obviously lifted from Jay's website.

It appears as though the listing has images of at least two and what looks to me like three different 1998 pandas.
Not a good way to do business.
