wg is right.    Ebay seller says error on description....

Unicorn sets, I & D sets, this Prestige set and others are assembled by third party in the USA.
I did not know how many sets were assembled in the US.
This set is PCS Preferred Customer Service in the midwest, US.
COA, box & dragon medal were probably minted in the US.    (Same as other sets w/ medals.)

Waiting on more info...     I still like this Color Dragon, very low mint...

imo ... the color dragon isn't an official mint medal.

again ... 1/2 oz and the 5 oz,  but not the medal.

btw.

panda coin is issued by pboc
bar is made by third party.

Why isn't this Color Dragon Official Mint Medal?    It has not been graded.
This 2000 Prestige set w/ Color Dragon silver medal has same PCC by Nicholas J. Bruyer  papers as the China Panda Lunar Prestige set in photos.     Both sets are 3rd party package by West.    The Color/Gilt Lunar silvers are Official Mint Medal so why not the 2000 Color Dragon?

Photos of 2005 set, COA, box and info on PCC.....  Rooster is Official.

2000 Prestige set has same PCC paperwork.    Why is Dragon not Official?

By posting there is more debate.    That is good as more information will come out....

I was told several of the 3rd party package silver medals were struck by New Century Mint Company that had a Chinese designer so the medals made the Official Mint Medal label by NGC.    (I don't know)

1)  Look at the Color Dragon design.   Does it look like US, German, GB, Aussie, Canadian or others designers?    It looks like a Chinese design to me.

2)  Who applied the paint or color to this medal?

Until the facts come out, if ever, i will not give up on this medal.   Opinions change as information/books come forward......

What was the first custom medal in coin sets?     Could it be these Proof Circ Coin sets?
See photos of 1982 set w/ the dog medal and 1988 dragon medal.     These Proof sets are not cheap and going up.    If these medals were first minted for Proof sets then custom medals in other sets should all be legit and eventually see more demand...

Many others since then like the...
1993 5 oz Sharpei silver dog ASH medal in I & D set by PA.
2000 Prestige set w/ Color Dragon medal.
2003 to 2014 China Panda Gold and Lunar Premium set w/ 1 oz Color & Gilt silver lunar medals.
others?...

I can't afford the sets so buying the medals makes sense.   They are cheap, limited mintage, probably melted or abused as they took a while to grade and should have a good upside in the future.....

I cannot convert that from Euro to USD.  How much is that in USD?

As I posted on another topic, this color dragon w/ 200 mint has a COA and i have COA.   The COA says the same as many other medals that NGC labels as official mint medal.   None are graded that i know of but that needs to happen.   This is why i think it is undervalued.  Today it is considered junk until graded....
