Martin Weiss

Martin Weiss passed away last night. He was the dealer who virtually created the market for Panda coins in 1982, the founder of Panda America and so much more. He was also one of the nicest, brightest and most generous people you could ever hope to meet. I am proud to have called him my friend. More to follow... Rest in peace, Marty.

Oh, my . . . how sad! 

A nice person with an unlimited amount of information about the formative years of modern Chinese coins.

I hope his friends and family were with him during his final days.  I know you will miss him.

This is very sad and tragic news. Martin was an amazing gentleman and a really nice personality to deal with. He was the one who started the panda trend here in the US.

He will be greatly missed. RIP
