The "Gold & Silver Coins of China Standard Catalog" was released yesterday. The event took place at the China International Coin Expo (CICE) in Beijing. Co-authors Leo Wang, King Chan and Jerry Lin all attended. The book's designer Wang Xue Jie was there as well.
The first release comes in a special box and includes a medal by Zhu Xihua, the artist for the popular 2017 bimetallic gold and silver 35th Anniversary coin. The artist said that this new medal was actually his preferred design for that coin, but CGCI chose his backup option. Actual mintage of the Shanghai Mint-struck medal (to this point) is 1,000. It is made of copper and silver-plated bronze.
I will post photos of the book, medal and package shortly.
Price at the show is 378 RMB.
The book will be distributed through:
www.yjzx.net,
www.shouxi.com,
www.11coins.com,
www.jibi.net, Amazon China and coin stores.
Author Jerry Lin told me that the authors monitor comments on this forum and appreciate feedback and suggestions to improve the book. He thanked everyone who has posted here about it in the past.
Congratulations to Leo Wang, King Chan, Jerry Lin and Wang Xue Jie. Great job!
Best wishes,
Peter Anthony

www.pandacollector.comP.S. Shipping costs from China will be significant. The package, or book alone (I'm not sure which) weighs 4 lb 2 oz., or 1.875 kg. It's heavy. I expect the book to be for sale at upcoming coin shows in Hong Kong and Guangzhou.
